Was over at Brandenberg, KY last weekend for our 1st b&b experience/farm stay (more about that in a later post), and the hosts recommended us to “the most fantastic Italian restaurant ever!” in the next town. It was a Saturday evening, and she told us to be there by 5 to avoid the crowd.
We were there by 515pm, and immediately after we were seated, the restaurant started filling up – PHEW! If you want to avoid the crowd, go there by 5! (opening time)
‘Twas a very cozy and quaint lil Italian restaurant in this small & charming town. We had the Sangria (5$) and it was heavenly! Sweet just like i like it, and the alcohol wasn’t overpowering (but it was pretty potent 😉 )
We didn’t order much for dinner, coz we were saving our stomachs for dessert elsewhere. But here’s what we got:
Brushetta with caramelized onions + goat cheese. OHMYGAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHD 😮
This was….PARTY IN MY MOUTH! 😛 The onions were perfectly caramelized, and the goat cheese and sweet vinagrette combination was to die for! Bread was toasted to perfection – everything about this made me go weak in the knees. Perfect start to our meal!
Lamb chops with potatoes. I loved the potatoes, but the lamb–not so much. It was a little tough/dry, but still tasty nonetheless. Not my fave though. Really liked the portions!
Filet mignon was cooked PERFECTLY. One of the best mignons we had and at a super affordable price (14$; for the price this was AMAZING). Forgot what the sauce was exactly, but it complimented the steak so well! With tapas portions, this place is a great place to go for foodies who wanna try a large variety without having to burst your waistlines (much).
Loved it! Go try if you’re near/passing by! 🙂
